This is a little test run put together by De Facto producer Stealf.
Anyone who knows him, will tell you he is passionate about his F1, and he’s decided to couple that passion with his passion for hip hop.
This is also Stealf’s first attempt working with the S950. Coupled with his trusty MPC60, this is the result of a day messing around with the two for the first time.

The incredible visuals are the work of Antti Kalhola.

This is the new EP from De Facto producer Stealf. These tracks were originally on his unreleased ‘I Am Stealf’ album but due to various leaks, release date problems and distribution issues, Stealf decided to shelve the album, but these tracks still needed to be heard. So here they are. Straight from the Mac of Stealf, bounced raw and ready.

Featuring Konny Kon of Broke N English, US artists Wordsmith, Black Knight and Kontact, female vocalist Carolyn Yates, Jackitdown Brown and London MC Cyclonious, along with three interludes, this EP is sure to satisfy the most hardcore of heads.

It’s due for release on August 26th, and it’ll be available fromwww.defactoentertainment.com, both digitally and physically on CD.

I thought I’d get some pics up of my studio so people could see where and what I make my music with. I’ve built the studio up over about 7 years, starting off with a borrowed laptop, Reason 2.5 and a Boss SP505 sampler and slowly built it up to what you see here. If, like me, you love to see other peoples studios and what people work with, then this should be a treat…Enjoy!

This is my Mackie DXB200 digital mixing desk, Maschine and the iMac. The Mackie acts as a mixing desk for the MPC (out of shot) as well as a control surface for Logic.

The MPC4000 runs in to the Mackie DXB and from there I can mix down the outputs from the MPC and send them in to Logic.

I’m a massive MPC fan, and so far I’ve owned a 2000, 2000XL, 2500, 5000 and now I’m running the 4000, which I can honestly say is STILL the best MPC Akai have ever made.

This is the area behind the mixing desk. This is where I keep my stacks of wax, along with the midi keyboard.
