De Facto Entertainment (UK Rap label) have just dropped this brand new EP from London rapper MISTA FLIX. From the production, to the artwork to the concepts and lyrics, this is dope! Feeling this, check it you like more lyrical stuff like Immortal Technique, Gulity Simpson, Talib Kweli and UK acts such as Taskforce and Jehst.
Mista Flix – The Lord Of The Real (De Facto Entertainment EP) Review – Originally posted at http://100percentuk.com/2012/01/15/mista-flix-the-lord-of-the-real-de-facto-entertainment-ep-review/
Mista Flix enters with this new EP almost sounding like a different emcee, he is a UK emcee but I think has a slight American attitude to the way he delivers multi-syabil flows reminding me of RA Rugged Man or Masta Killa. ‘Clash Of The Titans’ produced by Stealf kicks off the EP well as Flix going in on the bars on a sort of ‘taking no prisoners’ type way but its Kobi Wood’s ‘The Spinning Wheel’ tucked right at the back on the project that got me banging me head. Some real future funk flavours with Mista Flix going in nice over melodies and rough sound drums. Mista Flix has on heaps and bounds since his five track EP ‘Conceptualized Deceit’ and with his album ‘The Gospel For The Rap School’ is already in the works 2012 looks like its going to be a busy on for this underground Hip-Hop emcee.
